Timothy David Mattingly: Crafting Spaces, Building Community, and Redefining Hospitality

Aug 22, 2025

For nearly twenty years, Timothy David Mattingly — also known as Dave Mattingly — has turned vision into reality by creating spaces where design, atmosphere, and community meet. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and now rooted in the lively city of Wilton Manors, Florida, Mattingly has built a career that blends entrepreneurial drive with creativity and a passion for bringing people together.

From Hands-On Renovations to Real Estate Expertise

Mattingly’s career did not begin with titles or corner offices. It started with hard work on job sites, personally restoring and renovating homes before he ever held a real estate license. Over the years, he revitalized more than twenty properties, transforming outdated houses into modern, functional, and inviting homes.

In 2006, he earned his real estate license, merging his renovation background with market knowledge. This unique combination allowed him to see potential where others might not — identifying the right properties and knowing exactly how to maximize their value. That blend of vision and execution became a defining strength throughout his career.

Real Estate Meets Lifestyle

Mattingly’s next step was co-founding a RE/MAX franchise in Louisville’s bustling Highlands neighborhood. Here, he built a reputation not only for finding homes but for helping clients find a lifestyle that matched their needs. His ability to connect people with spaces that truly fit them became a skill he would later carry into the world of hospitality.

By 2013, Mattingly made a bold pivot, opening a nightclub that quickly became one of Louisville’s hottest spots. Known for its energy and inclusiveness, the venue collected multiple “Best of Louisville” awards from Louisville Magazine and LEO Weekly.

Three years later, in 2016, he expanded into dining, launching a restaurant that fused food, culture, and atmosphere. Praised by outlets like the Courier Journal, the restaurant stood out not only for its menu but for the experience — a carefully curated environment where people wanted to gather again and again.

Expanding Vision in Wilton Manors

Today, Mattingly is channeling that same entrepreneurial spirit into a new venture in South Florida. His upcoming restaurant and lounge in Wilton Manors is still under wraps, but he promises it will balance creativity, sophistication, and community — hallmarks of every project he has built.

A Life Rooted in Family and Community

Beyond business, Mattingly’s life is anchored by family. Married since 2006, a father and grandfather, he credits his loved ones and lifelong friends as the inspiration behind his work. For him, success is measured not just in awards or reviews, but in the memories made by the people who gather in the spaces he creates.

From breathing new life into Louisville homes to shaping the dining and nightlife culture in Florida, Timothy David Mattingly continues to prove that with vision, dedication, and community at the center, every venture can leave a lasting mark.
